May 2021 Plants

We picked up over 700 plants this weekend from Goodwin Creek down in Williams, OR, to be used for planting our tribute flag plot. So excited to get these in the ground and for the roots to take off so we can see the blooms in 2022. We are planting the Miss Katherine, Celestial Star, and Royal Velvet varieties. These are lavandula agustifolia cultivars. I have found great information on the different types of lavender at the gardenia.net website. Lavandula angustifolia (English Lavender) (gardenia.net)

Miss Katherine will provide a pink flower bloom in late spring early summer so we hope to see these blooming next June. This flower is "highly fragrant" and can be used dried in many different uses such as potpourris or sachets.

Celestial Star will provide a white flower bloom in late spring early summer so we also hope to see these blooming next June. This plant is great in herb gardens and can be used dried in many different uses.

Royal Velvet will provide a dark navy blue/purple bloom also in June. This flower is used for a variety of purposes and is very fragrant. From culinary to craft uses, to just planting in your own garden or landscape, you will enjoy this hardy plant.

The field is going to smell amazing and will be a restful and peaceful garden to walk through. We will continue to post updates as we get these lovely plants into the ground. Thank you for sharing in our excitement and we hope it will be a blessing to you.
